David joined Omsco in 2021, creating the new position of Chief Executive Officer, to lead the organisation into the next phase of its strategic development, as the UK’s leading organic co-operative. David has a clear focus on food sustainability and the environmental agenda.
Sara Ogborne

With over 10 years’ experience in the organic sector and a natural devotion to the dairy industry born from her family’s dairy farm in Somerset, Sara took on the role of Head of Membership in 2021. As you would expect, you will find Sara working on the family farm at the weekends.

Neil has over 40 years’ experience in the food industry, of which 35 years are within dairy. Neil joined Omsco in 2016 as Non-Executive director and took over the role of Omsco Chairman in 2020. Living in the West Country, Neil is surrounded by the beautiful farming landscape.
Glyn Jones

Glyn, together with his wife Eira, runs a 430 acre farm with 200 cows in South West Wales. Well known within the organic farming community, Glyn is a proud to share his knowledge with the newer organic farmers.
Lyndon Lewis
Lyndon LewisDeputy Chairman
Lyndon is a passionate organic dairyman, with a 750 acre farm on the Gloucestershire / Monmouthshire boarder. He now oversees the operation of his farm with his son Thomas. Lyndon holds a number of senior positions on industry groups, and has been awarded the ‘Dairy UK Award for outstanding achievement’ within the dairy industry.
John Pitts

John farms over 1,500 acres on the Chichester plain in West Sussex and at the top of the South Downs in Sussex. A forth generation tenant farmer to the Church of England. John also operates three green waste composting sites that provide peat free compost and the creation of various soils and soil conditioning products.
Bruce Carlisle

Pembrokeshire organic farmer and longest serving Board member at Omsco. An organic farmer since 1987, he runs a 100 cow Shorthorn based herd.
Simon Tomlinson

Simon is one of the founding members of Omsco, and had previously served as chairman for 8 years. An organic farmer for over 25 years, farming near Tetbury, Gloucestershire.
Miles Saunders

A member of Omsco since it was formed in 1994. A fourth generation farmer, who runs his organic farm in Oxfordshire alongside his family, where the next generation are continuing to tell their organic story.
Ross Paton
Ross PatonBoard Member
Ross’ farm has been organic since 2001 and is located on the Solway coast in Dumfries. Ross’s Nephew Calum has taken over the day-to-day running of the farm, which allows Ross to share his breadth of experience with the wider organic dairy sector.
Sarah Slade

Alongside Sarah’s devotion to her Pedigree Shorthorn herd in Devon, Sarah has over 25 years’ experience in rural land management; working with government and other organisations to improve legislation, policy and practice for the agricultural and countryside sectors.
John Alpe

John is committed to farming in harmony with the environment; with 300 areas of species-rich, botanically-important grassland, 15 acres of wildflower hay meadows and 200 acres of heather regeneration to name but a few projects carefully managed alongside his dairy herd.
